Ok as promised...pictures of where we live!!!

The first two are on the walking paths that go to Milano 3
The left one is the cemetery, at night all these solar lights go on and it looks like hundreds of little candles lit at the gravesites!! I'll get a picture one of these nights. The right is what the Italians think of their Tennis Club, its totally run-down and abandoned!!!
Looking back toward the traffic circle, looking forward toward Milano 3
Along the path, the canal/creek that feeds the rice paddies
Grove of Trees to the left which was beautiful and peaceful. To the right is where all the old folks have their "tea socials" and I have no idea what they call them in Italian yet!!!
Looking into Basiglio from the bike path
The sign telling you which way Milano 3 is. AND, the Ave Maria, which is the Madonna of the town of Basiglio!!! Its right off the bike path and there are rosaries and flowers and offerings left at her feet!!!!
The green space between Basiglio and Milano 3, and a picture of a tree that I thought was cool!!1
Milano 3 complex is the red buildings, pretty much every building in Milano 3 is that color!

About Me

My photo
Milan, Italy
I am 34 years old, married to my wonderful husband Richard and mother to a beautiful 8 year old daughter named Reese. We lived in the suburbs of Calgary until January 2010 where I worked as an ER Nurse. Then my husband was transferred to Vancouver for a 6 month temporary project. Our blog Tripping over the Sidewalk told all about our adventure living on the 30th floor of an apartment building in the middle of downtown Vancouver. Then we moved to Milan, Italy for 18 months, Ciao-Eh was the online forum for our Italian adventures. We moved to Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates in January 2012 and lived there for two and a half years. Sandscrapers, Souks and Sand is the blog of our adventures in the Middle East! We are now happy to be back on a little acreage just outside of Calgary where I'm sure more adventures await!!!!
