The Call Bus is BRILLIANT!

So Reese and I went with the Melton clan(minus Harry and son) on the CALL BUS(yes I know it sounds very exciting but its just a regular bus!!) today to the Ipermarket. We weren't sure whether it was going to actually work!!
Brandie had emailed yesterday to tell them what time and where we wanted to go. Sure enough, the bus showed up on time, we payed a Euro each way and it took us right where we wanted to go!!!Like a taxi but in bus form.
No changing buses, getting lost on metro lines or paying almost 3 euros on the regular bus! We can't figure out why its so cheap but honestly I don't care. Its a great way to get to the shops and back. Brandie said that it only services Basiglio, Milano 3 and Rozzano but hey......it worked GREAT!!!!!!!! No getting lost for us anymore :)

Tomorrow I'm going to figure out how to drive into San Donato where Richard works because a bunch of the Fluor wives are meeting up for coffee. Should be interesting. The only thing that really weirds me out about driving here is the Italians lack of adherence to roundabout rules. They seem to think that they can just drive in any lane that they choose no matter which exit they are taking and getting violently cut off at the last second is quite common on a roundabout! You beep, they throw their hands up(yes both of them, while driving in a circle) and gesture wildly. Its quite comical actually!!!! We're off to buy a GPS tonight so I'm sure it can get me where I want to go........hopefully :)

About Me

My photo
Milan, Italy
I am 34 years old, married to my wonderful husband Richard and mother to a beautiful 8 year old daughter named Reese. We lived in the suburbs of Calgary until January 2010 where I worked as an ER Nurse. Then my husband was transferred to Vancouver for a 6 month temporary project. Our blog Tripping over the Sidewalk told all about our adventure living on the 30th floor of an apartment building in the middle of downtown Vancouver. Then we moved to Milan, Italy for 18 months, Ciao-Eh was the online forum for our Italian adventures. We moved to Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates in January 2012 and lived there for two and a half years. Sandscrapers, Souks and Sand is the blog of our adventures in the Middle East! We are now happy to be back on a little acreage just outside of Calgary where I'm sure more adventures await!!!!
